1 Out of 20 Lamborghini Centenario Coupe Spotted in Hong Kong

Built to mark the 100th anniversary of Ferrucio Lamborghini's birth last year, Lamborghini created the Centenario. The name is derived from the Italian language meaning "hundredth". It was initially released in 2016 at the Geneva Auto Show and the first example in the world was sold to a wealthy customer in the United Arab Emirates for a price nearly topping $2,000,000.

Thanks to the carbon fiber used to construct the whole body of the Centenario, it weighs just 3351 pounds. This lightweight package is powered by a brutal NA 6.5L V12 engine with an output of 759 hp. Lamborghini declared that 0-60 takes only 2.8 seconds and it tops out at a speed of 217 mph.

This example was sold in Hong Kong for a client that graciously allowed it to be photographed by the hands of Ron Alder W.  The exterior of this Centenario is quite similar to the Geneva show car, with an exoskeleton-like carbon body frame. It has been decorated with yellow accents that beautifully mask the origins of the car, which is not an entirely new creation. The Centenario is actually based upon the Aventador platform.

This particular lineup of the Lamborghini badge will run one of the shortest production runs in the company's history. Only 40 examples will be made, 20 roadsters and 20 hard tops. The Centenario you see here is the second example to be delivered to a client in Hong Kong.
