The Mentor is a modern bike from the artisan bike builder Amar Cycles, handmade by Jonathan Amar himself.
This bike uses a Colossi aluminum frame with hand engraved wave patterns. The plates are in-house aged brass and aluminum ones with handgraved wave patterns. It uses a Tange Seiki Techno Glide IS2 headset with a Mortop SIC70 aluminum stem. The handlebar can be customized; you can get a Bullhorn 31.8 chrono bar with aluminum engraved end plugs by request. The carbon forks keep the weight at the lowest possible end. The bar tape is made in house with naturally dyed sheathed and pleated leather. The saddle is handmade by Gilles Berthoud and is a leather Soulor model. The seat post is a DEDA RS01 in polished aluminum. A Sugino MEssenger RD2 hand engraved crankset is connected to the Shimano chain and black Mks Sylvan Trackpedals. A set of Araya rims is used on both ends with Vittoria Rubino Pro tyres wrapped around them. The hub is a Grand Compe one. The bike weighs only 8 kg and has a height of only 55 cm.
