The Origin

The panel is a genuine hood from a 1974 Porsche 911, one of the classic long-hood 911 and 930 bonnets produced between 1974 and 1989. Racing & Emotion, the French atelier from Le Mans, gives real Porsche body parts a second life as sculptural artworks. The Toys For Big Boys artwork celebrates the world of high end toys, cars, watches, sneakers, cameras, layered onto the surface by hand.

Materials

The panel is a steel reproduction of the original front hood used on Porsche 911 and 930 models from 1974 to 1989, fitted with the authentic Porsche bonnet badge. The artwork is applied by hand and lacquered to hold up as a long term display piece. Each hood is fully inspected, wrapped and reinforced for shipping, ready to mount as a bold statement of Porsche pop art.
