The Alcantara Smart by TheArsenale Edition is a one-off Smart city car wrapped entirely in blue Alcantara, the same suede-like material used inside the world's most exclusive supercars. It brings runway-grade texture to the nippiest motor in the city.

The Collaboration

TheArsenale teamed up with the Italian house Alcantara, whose material is the discreet favorite of leading supercar manufacturers, and applied it to a true modern mini. Durable and stain resistant, Alcantara is a thoroughly modern textile with the visual softness of Swinging Sixties suede: the perfect accompaniment to a compact city runabout that refuses to be ordinary.

The Build

Every surface of the Smart Bleu is finished by hand in blue Alcantara, giving the cabin an enveloping, tactile quality you feel the moment you close the door. Under the hood, the 999 cm3 three-cylinder delivers 101 BHP at 6000 RPM through an automated gearbox, with ventilated disc brakes and 221 L of cargo behind the seats. It is a rare pairing: the friendliest footprint in town wearing supercar dress.
