Alligator Drive

The Alligator Drive BMX is a premium BMX-style cruiser bike by Ed Turner Label, wrapped in a crocodile-finish saddle and rolling on oversized 29 inch wheels. It fuses old-school flatland cool with luxury detailing you will not find on any factory BMX.

The Concept

Ed Turner Label built the Alligator Drive as a statement machine: a wheelie-friendly big-wheel BMX that looks equally at home carving a boardwalk or parked in a design studio. The signature move is the reptile treatment, applied to the Flyer SE Blocks saddle and to the handlebar grip covers, each finished with polished stainless steel inserts that catch the light on every push.

The Build

The backbone is a 6061 aluminum Floval frame with SE Wave dropouts and a 68 mm Euro bottom bracket housing, matched to a chrome-molybdenum Landing Gear fork. The 29 inch wheels use 36-hole SE Racing alloy hubs laced to double-wall rims, shod in Vee Tire Co x SE Racing Speedster rubber front and rear. Braking is handled by a Promax V-Brake system with 2-finger alloy levers, and the SE V-Ridge three-piece crankset drives a KMC S1 chain through a 33-tooth SE sprocket to a 15-tooth freewheel. SE Wheelie pegs come fitted, ready for the discipline the bike is named after.
