The Keim Cycle Arvak is a French wooden bicycle built around a seat-tube-less white ash frame. Made to order and delivered with a five-year guarantee, it turns the road bike silhouette into a moving sculpture.
The Concept
Keim Cycle set out to prove that carbon frames were not the only route to modern performance. The Arvak deletes the classic saddle tube entirely, opening a large void through the center of the bike and leaning on the lay-up to hold the geometry together.
Wood is treated as a living material: it moves, breathes and vibrates under load in a way no other frame does. The result is a ride experience that reconnects the rider with the road through the material itself.
What Makes It
The frame is built from layers of white ash assembled with a proprietary vacuum-bonding process, engineered for the stiffness needed to remove the seat tube. Up front, a carbon fork handles the impact loads while Keim's own OVL integrated handlebar cleans up the cockpit.
Each Keim wooden bike is made to order, allowing custom size and wheel selection at checkout.
The Ride
The wooden frame filters road buzz differently from carbon, giving a warmer, more organic feel while staying reliable and resistant. Stiffness where it matters keeps the bike planted, while the visual signature of the missing seat tube turns every ride into a conversation piece.
