Aurora-3C - Personal Submarine

The Aurora-3C personal submarine is a state-of-the-art, compact 3-person submersible designed by Seamagine to combine functionality, comfort, and innovation. Capable of diving to depths of 460 meters, it is optimized for easy storage and handling on ships and yachts with limited deck space.

The Design

The Aurora-3C is built around a low, hoist-friendly footprint. Its low height and single hoist point allow for simple launching and retrieval without the need for extensive infrastructure or large cranes, and a flat undercarriage with built-in rubber blocks lets the sub rest securely on deck, simplifying both storage and transportation. On top, a class-leading boarding system pairs a synthetic teak deck with foldable handrails, an extra-large hatch and a staircase down into the cabin, plus two interior steps that connect the entry to the seating area.

On the Water

Passenger experience drives the interior. The front window delivers a panoramic, immersive underwater perspective for the two passengers, while an additional rear window in the entry hatch enhances visibility for the pilot. The luxurious, air-conditioned cabin features custom leather seating, ergonomic armrests and high-tech, user-friendly control screens, and the pilot's controls are positioned behind the passenger seats to keep sightlines clear. Under the skin, pressure-balanced lithium-ion batteries deliver 14 hours of autonomy with a two-hour recharge, six high-powered thrusters piloted by a single joystick provide precise underwater movement, and inherent positive buoyancy plus 96 hours of life-support reserves make safety intrinsic to the craft.
