RIOCAM - Black Lamborghini

The Black Lamborghini is a large-format automotive art print by RIOCAM (Camilo Rios White), a Colombian fashion photographer based in Miami. It captures a raven Lamborghini in an all-black composition, printed on velvet velore fabric and mounted in a floating frame.

The Artist

RIOCAM was born in Medellin, Colombia and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. Across his fashion photography career, he shaped the visual identity of houses such as The Webster, Del Toro, Cotton Citizen, Stella McCartney, OFF-WHITE, ERES Paris, and L'Oreal. He is the founder and creative director of United Rivers, and creative director and founding partner at Toys for Boys Magazine.

His words on the practice: 'I have spent my life collecting the photography books of those who inspire me: the ones who came before, the ones who remain at the forefront, the ones who struck me with their talent. I have also spent it dreaming of having my own. This is that moment.'

The Piece

The Black Lamborghini print pushes RIOCAM's signature study of light on lacquered surfaces to its extreme. Every reflection and body line of the Lamborghini is preserved, then translated onto velvet velore fabric for a deep, tactile matte finish. The floating frame lifts the piece off the wall, giving the 60 x 40 inch composition presence in a hallway, lounge, or private collection.
