BMW K75 Scrambler

The BMW K75 Scrambler by The Foundry Mc. is a character-driven custom built by a builder who left his job to build bikes full-time after a single television appearance changed his direction. Based on the BMW K75 and inspired by Karlito Ed Turner, it delivers a genuine all-terrain personality without the premium price tag of a one-off commission.

The Concept

For Carlos Ormazabal of The Foundry Mc., bike building was a teenage ambition that became a career after watching Shinya Kimura's Zero on television. His first build on a Regal Raptor 350cc confirmed what he already suspected: this was what he was born to do. Three builds later, he left his day job and began building full-time. The BMW K75 Scrambler was the project that allowed him to create the all-terrain machine he had always envisioned, inspired by one of Karlito Ed Turner's builds and realized with the practical engineering the K75 platform demands.

The Build

Carlos spent hours staring at the donor bike before cutting anything. The original gas tank was retained for its volume, shape, and the integrated fuel pump it contains. The subframe was cut and rebuilt to accept a YSS rear adjustable shock. The most demanding challenge was the empty V-space under the seat: the BMW K-series carries a complex electrical system, and routing it invisibly required relocating most of the wiring inside the airbox alongside a cone filter that replaced the factory unit. The original front mudguard was reshaped into a duck-beak fender that follows the tank's lines. Rear fenders, plate holder, rear light, and indicators were sourced from a Regal Raptor Bobber.

What Makes It

The upgrades are matched with purpose. A LeoVince carbon fiber open muffler replaces the stock unit to balance the increased air intake of the cone filter. The original heavy lead-acid battery was swapped for a compact LiPo unit, tucked inside the airbox. New Hebo handlebars are paired with a clean Koso digital meter. A PIAA grid headlight up front completes the scrambler silhouette. The body is finished in an HP BMW paint scheme, and the bike rolls on knobby K74 Heidenau tires for unpaved terrain. A set of road-friendly tires is included with the purchase.
