The Concept

The Honda CB1000R Black Edition arrived as a factory statement: a neo-sports cafe roadster with a 998cc inline-four producing 145 horsepower, stripped of excess and finished in a cohesive all-black scheme. Bad Winners recognised the CB1000R Black Edition as a platform already aligned with their philosophy, aggressive in stance, disciplined in detail and capable beyond its visual restraint. Their commission transforms it from a premium production motorcycle into a singular built-to-order machine.

The Build

Bad Winners work from a production CB1000R Black Edition as donor, applying their component upgrade process across exhaust, ergonomics, suspension and finish. Each build is executed to order, with component choices guided by the workshop's network of trusted suppliers and their experience building across a wide range of donor platforms. The result deepens the Black Edition's existing character rather than replacing it, making a coherent machine with clear intent.

Performance

The CB1000R's 998cc inline-four produces 145 horsepower and 104 Nm of torque, paired with a compact upright riding position derived from Honda's racing program. The short-stroke engine character rewards high-rev riding while remaining tractable in traffic.
