RIOCAM - CHAIRS & FLAIRS

The Chairs and Flairs print is a nude portrait series by RIOCAM (Camilo Rios White), staged inside one of the rarest cars ever built: a Dino 246 GTS Nero. Printed on velvet velore fabric and mounted in a floating frame, limited to ten copies worldwide.

The Artist

RIOCAM was born in Medellin, Colombia and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. Across a long fashion photography career, he shaped the visual identity of houses such as The Webster, Del Toro, Cotton Citizen, Stella McCartney, OFF-WHITE, ERES Paris, and L'Oreal. He is the founder and creative director of United Rivers, and creative director and founding partner at Toys for Boys Magazine. His work draws directly on the renegade language of Chris Von Wangenheim, Guy Bourdin, and Helmut Newton, filtered through the color and light of Miami.

The Piece

The Chairs and Flairs series stages nude portraits inside a black Dino 246 GTS, treating the cabin as sculpture. Lacquer, hide, and skin become one continuous surface. The image is transferred onto velvet velore fabric, a matte, tactile support that softens highlights and deepens blacks. The floating frame lifts the piece off the wall for a gallery presentation on a 60 by 40 inch scale.
