NERO CARBONIO ESPRESSO MACHINE

The Nero Carbonio Espresso Machine is a hand-built Super Veloce creation, a half-scale Grand Prix V12 engine reborn as a functional espresso maker in jet black aerospace alloys and thermoset carbon fibre.

The Concept

Super Veloce builds espresso machines that started life as motorsport engines. The Nero Carbonio is the darkest expression of that vision: a tribute to the V12 powerplants that defined three decades of Grand Prix racing, condensed into a piece you can run on your kitchen counter every morning. Also offered as a V10 and V8 version, it turns the ritual of pulling an espresso into a scaled reenactment of firing up a race engine.

What Makes It

Each Nero Carbonio is hand-built in Italy, in strictly limited numbers, by the same engine masters who build the Super Veloce range. The block, heads, cam covers, and baseplate are precision machined from aerospace-grade billet aluminium alloy, titanium alloy, and superalloys, then finished with a motorsport-grade jet black anodising. The cam covers and baseplate are wrapped in authentic carbon fibre, 2x2 twill, hand laid at 45 degrees under high pressure. Nothing about the finish is decorative: every surface is treated the way a real race engine would be.

The Build

The core is a working V12 espresso engine, built to the same tolerances as its full-scale motorsport reference. Twelve cylinder heads, an anodised satin black V block, and a jet black baseplate frame the pump and boiler assembly. The result is a coffee machine that reads as a display piece and performs as a professional espresso maker, hot cylinder heads, real pressure, real crema.
