Cyclik Fixie

The Cyclik Fixie is a bamboo fixie bike handmade in Lyon by French workshop Cyclik. It is a made-to-measure single speed, tailored to six anthropometric measurements per rider, and built from 100% French raw materials.

The Concept

Cyclik started with a simple question: why should a high-performance frame be made of aluminum or carbon when nature already builds a better tube? The answer is bamboo, hand-selected and shaped in their Lyon workshop, joined with linen fibers instead of metal welds. Bamboo's fibrous structure absorbs road shock in a way aluminum and carbon cannot, and linen becomes remarkably technical once paired with it. The result is a custom fixie whose ride feels alive under the pedals, backed by several years of research and development and now recognized by cyclists and triathletes at competition level.

The Build

Every unit is a one-off. Six anthropometric measurements dictate frame geometry, and the client chooses equipment, color, and intended use. The bamboo frame is paired with a Ritchey WCS carbon fork, hand-built Asterion 35 mm wheels, a Miche Pistard 2.0 crankset for the single speed drivetrain, and a Fizik Arione Versus saddle. The complete bike lands at just 7 kg, remarkable for a naturally sourced frame.
