Cyclik Roadbike

The Cyclik Roadbike is a bamboo road bike handmade in Lyon by French workshop Cyclik. It is a made-to-measure performance machine, tailored to six anthropometric measurements per rider, and built from 100% French raw materials.

The Concept

Cyclik replaces the standard aluminum or carbon tubes of a road frame with hand-shaped bamboo and joins them with linen fibers rather than metal welds. Bamboo's fibrous structure delivers unmatched shock absorption compared to carbon, and linen becomes a genuine structural material when coupled with it. The formula took years of research and development and is now used by cyclists and triathletes at the top of their disciplines.

The Build

Every unit is a one-off. Six anthropometric measurements set the frame geometry, and the client picks equipment, color, and intended use. The bamboo frame is paired with a Ritchey WCS carbon fork, hand-built Asterion RS 50 mm wheels for road performance, a Sram Red eTAP AXS wireless electronic groupset, and a Fizik Arione Versus saddle. Complete weight lands at 7.5 kg, competitive with the best carbon road bikes on the market while offering a ride quality the composite world cannot replicate.
