Dab 1-Alpha TheArsenale Edition

The DAB 1 Alpha TheArsenale Edition electric motorcycle is a limited collaboration between DAB Motors and TheArsenale, unveiled at the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix and restricted to nine individually numbered units worldwide, each finished in Pacific Blue with Airbus-grade carbon fiber and Alcantara detailing.

The Collaboration

DAB Motors founder Simon Dabadie and TheArsenale's Patrice Meignan have built parallel careers around the same conviction: that performance machines should also function as objects of artistic expression. Both companies launched in 2018. Both have spent the years since resisting the industry instinct to manufacture at volume. The DAB 1 Alpha x TheArsenale is the formal result of that alignment, unveiled on 22 May at the Fairmont Hotel Monte Carlo during the Monaco Grand Prix weekend, coinciding with the opening of TheArsenale's first mobility hub. The venue and timing were chosen deliberately: Monaco is where the world's most uncompromising vehicles are expected to appear, and the nine units made for this edition were presented accordingly.

What Makes It

The DAB 1 Alpha is handcrafted in France, and the TheArsenale Edition heightens the specification at every point. The frame is satin black, constructed from Airbus-grade carbon fiber, the same material specification used in commercial aerospace structures. A custom Pacific Blue gloss finish is drawn across the bodywork in sharp contrast with white and blue accent lines. CNC-machined aluminium components appear throughout the mechanical architecture. Alcantara trim on key touchpoints gives the cockpit and seat areas the same texture found in motorsport interiors. Each of the nine units carries an individual number, and no further production is planned. The result is an electric motorcycle that has more in common with a limited-edition sculpture than with a mass-market vehicle.
