The Dream's Tracker 600 custom flat tracker by Italian Dream Motorcycle is a Suzuki DR600-based aluminium-bodied machine built to distil the purity of flat track racing into a street-registered motorcycle, a vision endorsed by the vice president of Zagato design.

The Concept

Italian Dream Motorcycle approached the Tracker with a clear thesis: take the most stripped and purposeful racing format, flat track, and engineer it around a donor with genuine single-cylinder credentials. The Suzuki DR600 was the logical choice. Its 595cc thumper has the character and torque that flat track demands, and its proportions suit the compact, wheel-forward stance the team had in mind. Everything on the build was designed to amplify that engine character while updating every functional system around it. The result drew a response from Norihiko Harada, vice president of Zagato design: "I like this motorcycle because it has a certain coherence of its kind. I like the proportions given by the size of the wheels that make it seem short-lived and the mechanical cleaning under the tank. It gives me the perception of going out on a Sunday and feeling a sense of freedom."

The Build

The entire bodywork was fabricated in aluminium, giving the Tracker a surface quality and weight that fibreglass cannot match. A CNC machined steering plate anchors the front end, which received a full fork transplant from a Yamaha R1, a superbike unit chosen for its precision and damping range. Rear suspension comes from a Yamaha R6, balancing the front end's sport bias with a shock calibrated for the same performance envelope. The seat is built from fibre composite for durability under hard use. The instrument cluster upgrades to a full OLED dashboard in place of the original analogue unit. Handlebar controls are Domino throughout, with levers connected to a full Brembo brake system front and rear, including a Brembo-sourced brake pump. Front and rear lighting is updated to LED. The drivetrain uses chain drive transmission, and kick-start ignition is retained, the right choice for a machine whose DNA is rooted in competition tradition.
