It conquered the Sahara

This Harley has been tuned to survive the desert, and it did. With El Soliratio’s Desert Wolves project. This Harley and two others did conquer the Sahara Desert during a one of a kind aventure. More than any other bike, this 2017 Roadster has a story to tell.

Upgrades

This Harley Davidson Roadster 1200 had to go through extensive modifications to conquer the scorching heat of the sahara desert. It was equipped with a Rekluse automatic clutch and left-handed brake lever to avoid stalling it amidst the sand dunes. A set of Kineo 19" wheels were installed along with Dunlop flat track tires for improved grip on sand. The engine received a SC-Projects 2-in-1 stainless steel exhaust with a Screaming Eagle intake and ECU unit to improve power delivery. The long trip needed an extensive amount of protection so Bark Busters carbon fiber hand guards were installed with Easton fat bars. The front uses PIAA LED headlights and a FIA Approved F1 Light on the back. The rear fender is custom made along with the alloy gas tank and the headlight guard. Pivotpegz footpegs were installed to fit the custom alloy skid plate and PVC front fender. Suspension is managed by a set of OHLINS Racing custom rear shocks in the back and Ohlins Racing TTX shocks in the front. A custom luggage rack was installed and fitted with a Kriega OS18 Luggage with Dyneema®.
