HERITAGE SPIRIT SCRAMBLER

The Heritage Spirit Scrambler is a French electric scrambler motorcycle built by Ateliers HeritageBike in small series, drawing on the visual codes of the Steve McQueen era with handmade leather saddle, composite bodywork, Brembo brakes, and a 7 kW Gem Motors drivetrain that delivers 280 Nm of torque and a 110 km range.

The Concept

Ateliers HeritageBike was founded on the premise that the most compelling motorcycles in history were machines with character, not specifications. The scramblers and roadsters of the 1960s had presence: proportions that looked right from every angle, sounds that lingered, and a tactile quality that made riding them feel significant. The Heritage Spirit Scrambler applies that design philosophy to an electric drivetrain, producing a machine that is quiet, clean, and zero-emission without sacrificing the visual identity that made classic scramblers worth remembering. Built in France by artisans, in small series only, each bike is produced with the same attention to detail that luxury objects demand.

The Ride

The Gem Motors 7 kW electric motor produces 280 Nm of torque, a figure that, on a 137 kg motorcycle, translates to genuinely sharp acceleration from low speed. The 48V lithium-ion 4.8 kWh battery delivers a range of 110 km on a single charge, sufficient for urban use and short-distance touring. Top speed is 99 km/h, matching the 125cc licence category across Europe. Suspension is handled by a WP fork with 85 mm travel up front and an EMC rear shock with 80 mm travel. Brembo brake calipers front and rear, with a 4-piston radial unit and 320 mm disc at the front, provide stopping performance well above the segment norm. Heidenau K60 Ranger tyres suit both tarmac and light off-road. The handmade black leather saddle, sandblasted black steel frame, and Heritage Green composite bodywork are finished by hand in France.
