The custom Honda Ruckus for sale as the DorbyWorks x TheArsenale edition is a Miami-built, full-black street weapon: a 171cc purpose-built machine that turns one of the most recognisable mini-bikes on earth into something genuinely dangerous-looking and genuinely fast.

The Concept

DorbyWorks is Miami's most obsessive Ruckus shop, a studio that has built its reputation on extracting performance and personality from Honda's deceptively simple platform. The Dorby x TheArsenale collaboration pushed the brief further than any previous build: every surface, every fastener, every light unit had to earn its place on the motorcycle. The signature full-black livery is unusual for DorbyWorks, whose builds typically lean into colour and chrome. Here the darkness is the point. Studs and sharp spurs erupt from the bodywork at intervals, giving the Ruckus a silhouette closer to a piece of wearable armour than a commuter scooter. This machine is built on order, assembled individually to buyer specification.

The Build

The heart of the build is a custom 171cc engine assembled in-house by DorbyWorks, a significant displacement step over the stock 49cc or 80cc options that defines the performance character of the whole motorcycle. Breathing through a Racing OKO 30mm carburetor and exhaling through a ceramic-coated GP-SC exhaust system, the engine pulls cleanly to a verified 70-plus mph top speed. The front end is anchored by a CNC disc brake package with hydraulic lever system; the rear matches it with 220mm forged disc calipers and a four-piston forged caliper for stopping power proportional to the speed. A titanium axle saves unsprung weight at both ends. The wheels are MESHLOVE forged spun aluminium units with billet centres, powder-coated gloss black to match the bodywork. A digital speedometer keeps the cockpit clean while LED lighting front and rear (8-inch integrated turn signals at the tail, 7-inch LED round headlight up front) bring the build into compliance with road standards without compromising the aesthetic.
