iXOOST Radial 6 - Hi-Fi Speaker

The iXOOST Radial 6 is a hand-built hi-fi speaker inspired by the aeronautical radial engine. Cylinders, flaps, and nose cones translate directly into the audio sculpture, delivering an open, natural sound from one of the most unique speaker silhouettes in the world.

The Origin

The Radial 6 is iXOOST's first foray into aeronautics-inspired design. The whole system references the radial engine used in early aviation: the front face reads as a bank of cylinders, the transducers are laid out around a central axis, and a supporting blade holds the assembly upright like a mounted propeller section.

All cabling is routed inside the body, keeping the silhouette clean and sculptural. The Radial 6 is meant to sit in a space as an object of design first, and reveal its audio performance second.

Materials

The body is machined from Anticorodal 6082 aluminum alloy, an aerospace-grade material chosen for its finish and durability. Each unit is hand-finished in Italy, positioning the Radial 6 as a low-volume, artisanal audio piece rather than a mass-market speaker.

Performance

Sound is delivered by two 28 mm silk dome tweeters, four 57 mm PPM cone midranges, and a rear-mounted 165 mm Extended Range PPM cone woofer. Amplification is split across four 25 W stages and a dedicated 270 W active subwoofer amplifier. Frequency response spans 38 Hz to 20,000 Hz, delivering open, natural reproduction with a strong low-end anchor.
