The Joey Ruiter Snoped 2 is a one-off design snowmobile, a retro-futuristic snow machine that treats the engine and the geometry itself as the sculpture.

The Concept

The first Snoped, released in April 2016, was already a rupture with the visual codes of the snowmobile world: designer Joey Ruiter used unusual boxy volumes as the center of the composition instead of hiding them under aggressive plastics. The Snoped 2 pushes that language further, letting the exposed 110cc Yamaha engine sit in full view, framed by a lightweight architecture and a minimal front grille that doubles as the headlight housing. The result is closer to an industrial-design object than a stock sled.

The Build

The design snowmobile pairs a rigid, minimal aluminum chassis with the Timbersled Ripper 90 track system, chosen for its clean profile and reliable behavior on packed snow. A cafe-racer-style seat covered in quality leather crowns the midsection, adding just enough padding to make sliding along white mountain roads a comfortable, tactile affair. A 4-speed transmission channels the Yamaha power, keeping the machine light, revvy, and true to Ruiter's minimalist signature.
