The Concept

Designed by Materia Bikes, the Ambre reimagines the classic California beach cruiser through a natural material lens. Instead of the usual painted steel, the whole silhouette is sculpted from wood, so the bike ages and warms up over time rather than losing its finish.

The Ambre finish suits sunlit boardwalks and open promenades. Riders after a deeper, more autumnal tone can also choose the Redwood variant of the same silhouette.

What Makes It

The frame is built from solid ash wood, chosen for its rigidity, dampening qualities and grain. The construction stays stiff under pedal loads while smoothing out the vibrations that would fatigue a metal cruiser.

Every Materia wooden bike is hand assembled, giving each piece a unique grain signature.

The Ride

The upright cruiser geometry keeps the ride comfortable and relaxed, ideal for beach paths, seaside towns and long weekend rolls. The wood frame keeps weight in check while adding a warm, organic feel to every stroke.
