The Concept

Materia Bikes builds bicycles the way a cabinetmaker builds furniture: from raw solid wood, shaped and finished by hand. The WUDU takes that philosophy and translates it into a stripped-back urban fixed gear bike, all pared-down lines, minimal components, and the natural grain of the frame doing the visual work.

What Makes It

The frame is sculpted from solid wood, which damps vibration in a way steel or aluminium never does. Every unit is built one at a time, so grain patterns and small details vary from bike to bike. The build stays deliberately clean: no bar tape overload, no decorative extras, just the wood, the wheels, and the drivetrain.

The Ride

WUDU is delivered as a proper fixed gear for riders who want the direct, one-to-one feel of a track drivetrain on the street. A single speed configuration with a freewheel and front brake is available as an option for city riders who prefer to coast through traffic.
