The GT 66' is a hand-built Ford office chair by Racing & Emotion, inspired by the Ford GT40 Mk.II that beat Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966 with Bruce McLaren at the wheel.
The Origin
Every Racing & Emotion chair is designed, shaped, and manufactured entirely by hand in Le Mans, France, the home of the world's most famous 24-hour endurance race. The GT 66' celebrates the Ford GT40 Mk.II victory of that season, the first American car to win the overall classification at La Sarthe, breaking Ferrari's six-year winning streak. It brings the podium spirit of the Amon and McLaren cockpit into a modern studio or executive office.
Materials
The shell is built for firm but flexible support, mounted on a swivel base with height adjustment for daily desk use. The interior is fully upholstered in premium leather, hand-stitched by the Racing & Emotion atelier, then assembled and painted piece by piece. The result is lightweight, durable, and finished to the standard of a real motorsport bucket seat.
