PIRELLI PZERO SOUND SOFT YELLOW BY IXOOST

The Pirelli PZero Sound speaker is a Formula 1 inspired hi-fi system built by iXOOST in Modena, Italy, using a real 1:2 scale racing tire and a scaled F1 rim as its acoustic body. It transforms motorsport DNA into a sculptural wireless speaker that doubles as a collectible object.

The Collaboration

Born from the meeting of two Italian icons, the Pirelli PZero Sound unites Pirelli's Formula 1 tire heritage with iXOOST's engine-inspired audio craftsmanship. The 1:2 scale model tire used here was originally produced by Pirelli for F1 teams' wind tunnel testing, then rebuilt into an active surround sound system. The Soft Yellow finish echoes the color coding Pirelli uses on the F1 grid to distinguish its different racing compounds, so each colorway carries a specific circuit reference.

What Makes It

The tire wraps a 6.5 inch aluminum rim that faithfully replicates a real F1 wheel, machined and finished to display-piece standard. Inside sits a 100 watt digital amplifier with dedicated signal processor, driving a 100 mm mid-woofer and a 25 mm silk tweeter for a full range signature that stays clean at volume. Bluetooth 4.0 aptX handles the wireless link, so audio from a smartphone or laptop streams in high fidelity without cables. Every unit is designed, assembled and finished by hand in Modena, in the same region as Ferrari, Lamborghini and Pagani.
