The Leclerc 2019 helmet is an original Bell HP77 race lid worn by Charles Leclerc at the 2019 German Grand Prix, his debut season with Scuderia Ferrari. A defining artifact from the year the Monegasque driver announced himself as Ferrari's next headline talent.
The Story
2019 was Leclerc's first year in red. Across the season he took 7 pole positions, 2 wins (Spa and Monza), and 10 podiums, finishing 4th in the championship. The German Grand Prix at Hockenheim was one of the wildest races of the season, run in changing rain. Leclerc started from pole in a Ferrari dressed for the German market before retiring, a memorable weekend that this helmet was worn for.
What Makes It
The Bell HP77 is the top-tier Formula 1 helmet used by the majority of the F1 grid: FIA 8860-2018 homologated, carbon composite shell, magnesium visor mechanism and driver-specific interior. This one carries Leclerc's 2019 personal livery on his Ferrari race kit, worn on track for the German GP weekend. The design detail, the wear from race use and the direct link to Leclerc's breakthrough season are what set it apart.
