RIOCAM RED FERRARI

The Artist

Camilo Rios White, working under the name RIOCAM, was born in Medellin, Colombia and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, before building his career in Miami. Over more than a decade shaping the city's fashion imagery, his work has defined the visual identity of The Webster, Del Toro, Cotton Citizen, Stella McCartney, OFFWHITE, ERES Paris and L'Oreal. He is Founder and Creative Director of United Rivers and a founding partner and Creative Director at Toys for Boys Magazine. Deeply influenced by the raw candour of Chris Von Wangenheim, Guy Bourdin and Helmut Newton, the so-called Terrible Three of fashion photography, RIOCAM pursues realness above polish and outdoor light above studio precision. A red Ferrari, saturated and unapologetic, is exactly the kind of subject that his outdoor, colour-first philosophy was built to translate.

The Piece

Printed on velvet and velore fabric, the Red Ferrari work trades the flatness of standard photographic paper for a tactile, light-sensitive surface.
