The Artist

RIOCAM (Camilo Rios White), born in Medellin, Colombia and raised in Ft. Worth, Texas, spent over a decade defining the visual identity of Miami fashion. His client list spans The Webster, Del Toro, Cotton Citizen, Stella McCartney, OFFWHITE, ERES Paris, and L'Oreal. As Founder and Creative Director of United Rivers and co-founding partner of Toys for Boys Magazine, Rios built a career rooted in the renegade spirit of Chris Von Wangenheim, Guy Bourdin, and Helmut Newton. For him, realness is the primary creative driver: outdoor light over studio control, candid tension over posed perfection.

The Piece

Red Ferrari 2 continues where the first image ended, returning to the same subject with a shifted composition and renewed intensity. RIOCAM does not repeat himself for the sake of series: each frame in the Ferrari sequence is a distinct moment, a specific play of Miami light against red bodywork, captured as it appeared rather than as it was arranged. The velvet/velore fabric substrate deepens the color contrast and gives the print a physical presence that paper cannot match. At 60 x 40 inches in a floating frame, the work commands a wall rather than simply occupying one.
