The Artist

RIOCAM (Camilo Rios White) built his reputation photographing for Stella McCartney, OFFWHITE, The Webster, ERES Paris and L'Oreal across more than a decade in Miami. His roles as Founder of United Rivers and Creative Director at Toys for Boys Magazine gave him the freedom to pursue the kind of raw, confrontational imagery that drew him to Von Wangenheim, Bourdin and Newton. Pink Jesus is that impulse made explicit: a title that deliberately places the sacred inside a luxury collectible art context, asking questions about value, iconography and desire without ever providing comfortable answers.

The Piece

Produced on velvet and velore fabric, the print achieves a surface richness that reinforces the work's complex emotional register. The nap of the fabric catches light differently as the viewer moves, introducing subtle movement into a still image and lending the composition a near-ceremonial quality.
