Savile Rowing Boat - TheArsenale Edition

The Savile rowing boat is a bespoke single scull built in collaboration between Savile and TheArsenale, a one of one carbon fiber vessel designed to feel closer to a couture piece than a piece of racing equipment.

The Design

Savile is a rowing boat like no other, a story written by passionate makers who wanted to produce something truly human and finished entirely by hand. Every stage of the build, from lamination to final assembly, is handled by craftspeople obsessed with detail. The result is an original concept executed with precision, so distinctive you feel it the first time the hull cuts across the water.

The TheArsenale Edition pushes that vision further with high end sustainable materials and cutting edge machining. Each Savile boat is unique, expertly made and meticulously finished, delivered as a numbered 1 of 1 collector piece.

What Makes It

The laminate composition uses high strength hybrid woven carbon fiber tissues with strong impact resistance, over a top finish foam pressure stable core, bonded with bio based epoxy. All compartments are pressure balanced for long term integrity on the water.

Every metallic component is protected by an anti-corrosion ceramic coating, and the boat is assembled with lightweight titanium screws and bolts. Rigging is handled by a Carl Douglas Single AeRoWing sculling rigger paired with a Savile CNC machined shell interface in 7075 aluminum grade, and the foot stretcher is a Shimano KFR-500FC on Savile CNC machined rails.

On the Water

At 5.75 meters overall and only 21.5 kilograms, the Savile single scull is built to glide, with the stiffness of a competition hull and the finish of a luxury object. The hard anodized rail and carbon sliding seat give a clean, quiet stroke, while the FCS II H4 fins keep tracking steady from catch to release. It is designed to be durable and to leave no traces behind, a bespoke rowing boat that treats the water with the same care as its owner.
