The Concept

Urwahn Bikes set out to reinvent the city bike by combining industrial 3D printing, elastic rear suspension, and integrated safety tech in a single frame. The Stadtfuchs is the result: an award-winning silhouette that removes the classic seat tube, blends ergonomics with organic design, and treats the daily commute as a performance discipline. Every unit is entirely developed and manufactured in Germany, supporting local workshops and environmentally-friendly mobility.

The Build

The heart of the Stadtfuchs is its 3D-printed CrMo steel frame, shaped for elastic rear suspension that dampens road bumps without a traditional shock. A Gates Carbon Drive CDX belt system replaces the chain for silent, low-maintenance power delivery, paired with an 11-speed internal gear hub with a high ratio. A seamlessly integrated LED lighting system runs off a plug-less SON hub dynamo, with daytime running lights, parking light, and an integrated GPS tracker built into the frame. Internal cable routing, an integrated seat clamp, and hidden Hexlox component security complete the clean industrial look.

The Ride

On the road, the Stadtfuchs is designed to feel silent and effortless. The belt drive eliminates chain slap, the hydraulic Tektro flat-mount brakes deliver strong stopping power in wet urban conditions, and the Continental Grand Prix Urban tires add puncture protection with a reflective sidewall stripe for night visibility. Ergon SFC30 EVO Gel saddle and Ergon grips are tuned for long commuting distances, while threaded mounts for mudguards and a rear rack turn the bike into a serious daily driver.
