Surf Jim25

The Surf Jim25 is a hand-shaped Lotus 25 tribute surfboard by Racing & Emotion, built in Le Mans, France and inspired by the Lotus 25 that carried Jim Clark to the 1963 Formula 1 World Championship.

The Story

Racing & Emotion is a Le Mans studio dedicated to translating motorsport icons into functional art. The Surf Jim25 pays tribute to the Lotus 25, the Colin Chapman single-seater that introduced the fully stressed aluminium monocoque to Formula 1 and delivered Jim Clark's first world title in 1963. The board carries the same green and yellow signature, and works both as a rideable shortboard and as a wall piece.

The Design

Every board is designed, shaped and finished entirely by hand. The PU core is wrapped in fiberglass and sealed with polyester resin, a build that keeps the board water-ready while giving the graphic layers the depth needed for a collector-grade finish. The 6'0" outline, 20 1/4" width and 2 1/2" thickness sit in a versatile shortboard range that fits a wide spread of conditions.
