The Surf Pinkpig is a hand-shaped Porsche 917/20 Pink Pig tribute surfboard by Racing & Emotion, built in Le Mans, France and inspired by the 1971 Le Mans Porsche 917/20 raced by Willy Kauhsen and Reinhold Jost for the Martini Team.
The Story
Racing & Emotion is a Le Mans studio turning motorsport icons into functional art. The Surf Pinkpig celebrates the Porsche 917/20, the one-off wide-bodied 917 that ran at the 1971 Le Mans 24 Hours painted like a butcher's cut chart, nose to tail, and became one of the most recognisable Porsches in racing history. The pink-and-black livery, cuts of pork labels included, is reproduced on a full-size surfboard designed to ride or to display.
The Design
Each board is designed, shaped and painted entirely by hand, with the same attention to detail Racing & Emotion applies to its motorsport chairs. The PU core is wrapped in fiberglass and finished with polyester resin, a build chosen for both real-world durability and a display-grade surface. The 6'0" outline, 20 1/4" width and 2 1/2" thickness sit in a versatile shortboard range.
