History

The Tamiya Wild One MAX is set to return with a striking difference. First launched in 1985 as the iconic Tamiya Wild One (58050) radio-controlled car, it's now being re-released as a full-scale, road-legal vehicle in the UK and EU. It retains the charm of the original model while upgrading to a real car that you can actually drive. The much-anticipated re-launch will be unveiled in the summer and will start with a limited-run Launch Edition.

Wild One MAX Launch Edition

The Tamiya Wild One MAX Launch Edition comes with several distinguished features including a carbon fiber dashboard with a Launch Edition plaque, a carbon fiber key fob, Launch Edition hologram decals, and r/c replica wheel nuts. It also includes a specially re-introduced Tamiya Wild One 1/10th kit complete with a remote control, battery, and charger. Moreover, owners of the Launch Edition can anticipate a priority build as these will be the first Wild One MAX units assembled. The first 100 customers to place their order will receive the exclusive Launch Edition Tamiya Wild One MAX.

WILD ONE MAX Build

The vehicle's specifications highlight its impressive capabilities. Equipped with eight removable battery packs, it boasts a total capacity of 14.4kWh, a top speed of 62 mph, and a maximum estimated range of 200km on-road and 110km off-road. The dimensions are 3.6m in length and 1.9m in width, with a curb weight of approximately 500kg. The robust vehicle is outfitted with Maxxis Bighorn tires, optimized for varied terrain. The Wild One Max provides seating for two and remains road-legal under L7e quadricycle regulations in the UK and EU. Production is set to commence in early 2024.
