The Agile - Custom Motorcycle

The Agile by Cohn Racers is a hand-built custom Ducati cafe racer derived from a Ducati Monster S2R, stripped to its essentials and rebuilt with a bespoke chassis, premium European components, and genuine Alcantara leather to deliver a lightweight, high-performance machine that rides as precisely as it looks.

The Concept

James Davidson of Cohn Racers set out to build what he describes as a motorcycle that "brings a truly unique experience that once tasted becomes very addictive." The starting point was a Ducati Monster S2R: its engine, the matrix section of the frame, and single-sided swingarm were retained, but everything else was reconsidered. The goal was to combine a stiff, light chassis with modern suspension and braking hardware, then dress the result in bodywork that references classic cafe racer proportions without imitating them. The Agile is aimed at riders who want a lightweight cafe racer with genuine Italian performance credentials.

What Makes It

The original frame was cut and replaced with a fully custom unit, lowering the center of gravity and optimizing geometry for fast, confident cornering. The plastic fuel tank was replaced with a hand-formed metal tank, accompanied by a new rear tail section and front fender. The seat is upholstered in genuine Alcantara leather, a material choice that ties the Agile to the Italian performance tradition. Italian-made wire wheels replace the stock units, adding visual authenticity and maximum build quality. The electrical system was redesigned end to end: a custom-faced speedo, LED indicators, and a brake light integrated into the license plate frame complete the clean finish.

The Build

Ohlins inverted forks handle the front suspension, providing precision damping calibrated for the bike's reduced weight. Twin Brembo four-piston front calipers grip 320mm rotors, delivering stopping power calibrated to match the bike's performance envelope. The exhaust has been fully customized and heat-coated. The result is a complete drivetrain and suspension package that the stock Monster was never given, now fitted to a machine that weighs significantly less. The Agile's optimized geometry means it finds its line without effort and holds it without drama.
