The St Tropez - Luxury Pedal Boat

The St Tropez luxury pedal boat by Beau Lake is a modern reinterpretation of the classic 1950s Mediterranean pedalo, a fully human powered, mahogany trimmed pedal boat built for calm bays, private lakes and lifestyle photography.

The Design

Beau Lake designed the St Tropez as an homage to the Riviera pedalos that lined the beaches of the French Cote d Azur in the 1950s, translated into a contemporary luxury object. The silhouette is minimalist, low and elegant, sitting on twin fiberglass pontoons that hide the working parts and leave the eye on the woodwork.

It is intentionally low tech: the Beau Lake pedal boat is fully human powered, which suits the most eco conscious owner and fits jetty use where combustion engines are off limits.

What Makes It

The cockpit is built around a solid mahogany cockpit, protected by multiple layers of marine varnish for long term wear in sun and spray. Waterproof gelcoat seats keep cleaning simple after a day on the water.

Details are what push it into luxury territory: mirror polished stainless steel castings and hardware for a proper nautical feel, a built in cooler, a champagne bucket and cocktail holders integrated into the console. Detachable fiberglass pontoons allow easy transport and storage, and the self draining construction means covering the boat is optional.

On the Water

Propulsion comes from a recessed water wheel, which keeps efficiency high even in shallow water and protects the mechanism from weeds and debris. The result is easy handling both at speed and dockside, with a boat that stays maneuverable, quiet, and effortless to maintain.

The St Tropez is priced on request. It suits private lakefronts, hotels on the Cote d Azur and superyacht toy garages equally well.
