This signed original Troy Bayliss helmet from the 2006 World Superbike Championship is a cornerstone of superbike history, hand-signed by the Australian three-time WSBK champion himself. Race-used through the season Bayliss took the title with Ducati, it stands as both a competitive relic and a personal artifact of triumph.
The Artist
Troy Bayliss remains one of the most formidable riders of the modern superbike era. A three-time World Superbike champion (2001, 2006, 2008), he became inseparable from the identity of Ducati Corse during the 999 and 1098 years. The 2006 title, taken on the Ducati 999 F06, was arguably his most complete: dominant race pace, relentless consistency, and a mid-season MotoGP wildcard win at Valencia to close the campaign. This helmet was worn on track during that title-winning season.
The Piece
The race-used helmet carries the marks of a full championship season: paint wear from track sessions, adjusted vents and interior, and the unmistakable finish of a helmet lived-in rather than displayed. It is signed in person by Troy Bayliss, adding a layer of provenance that separates working memorabilia from replicas. Every detail, from the graphics to the visor mechanism, is original and unmodified since 2006, making it a genuine piece of WSBK memorabilia from one of the sport's defining seasons.
