Valtteri Bottas 2015-16 Williams Martini Racing Helmet

This Valtteri Bottas helmet is the original Stilo ST5 lid he raced for Williams Martini Racing across the 2015 to 2016 Formula 1 seasons, hand-painted by CF Design and sold with its factory Stilo carry bag.

The Story

By late 2015, Bottas was in his third season as a Williams full-timer, running the Williams FW37 alongside Felipe Massa in the Martini era. CF Design in Italy painted this shell specifically for him at the end of 2015, and Bottas continued to race it into the 2016 season. For the Spanish Grand Prix weekend, a Spanish flag was added on the back of the helmet, a small detail that dates the lid to that exact race.

What Makes It

The shell is a Stilo ST5, the FIA 8860-approved carbon composite helmet Bottas used through his Williams stint. The paintwork is by CF Design, one of the most sought-after specialists on the Formula 1 grid, in the personal blue-and-white livery Bottas ran during the Martini years. The race-worn F1 helmet ships with its original Stilo carry bag, correct for the period.
