TheArsenale x VELORAPIDA x ALCANTARA

The Velorapida electric bike is an Italian pedal-assist bicycle wrapped head to toe in Alcantara, born from a three-way collaboration between Velorapida, Alcantara and TheArsenale. It is elegance on two wheels, built for the rider who treats the daily commute as a style statement.

The Concept

Velorapida is the Italian workshop that turns city bikes into rolling couture, and Alcantara is the material house behind the interiors of Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati. TheArsenale asked both to imagine a one-off e-bike that borrows its language directly from luxury car cabins. The result is a limited Italian electric bicycle where every surface a rider touches is dressed in the same suede-like fabric found in exotic supercars.

The Build

The whole frame is trimmed in Alcantara, from the saddle to the rear pannier that cleverly conceals the battery. The handlebar grips, top tube and side panels share the same treatment, giving the bike a monochrome, tactile finish that softens the ride and elevates the object. Leather details, brushed metal fixtures and a discreet chrome badge complete the look. This is a one-off collaboration, produced in extremely limited numbers for the TheArsenale marketplace.

The Ride

A 250 watt electric motor assists the pedal stroke up to a top speed of 25 km/h, with a real-world range of 60 kilometres per charge. Enough to cover a full day in town, a beach run on the Riviera or a coffee lap around Milan without breaking a sweat. The upright riding position, silent drivetrain and Alcantara touchpoints keep the experience quiet, smooth and unmistakably Italian.
