The Collaboration

Vespa and Christian Dior share a birth year and, in their own languages, a devotion to freedom, movement, and craftsmanship. This special edition of the Vespa 946 celebrates that alignment. It was designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, Creative Director of Dior women's collections, and interprets the art of la Dolce Vita through the haute couture vocabulary of the Parisian house. The result reads simultaneously as a Vespa and as a Dior object: unmistakably one, unmistakably the other.

What Makes It

The Vespa 946 platform first appeared in 2012 as the marque's most refined production model, defined by its monohull frame and streamlined silhouette. For this collaboration, the bodywork carries the Dior Oblique motif originally created by Marc Bohan in 1967, applied with couture-atelier levels of finish. Every panel is produced in Italy under Piaggio's most exacting build standards. The machine ships with two matching Dior Oblique helmets and a top case adorned with the same pattern that mounts to the luggage rack, all supplied exclusively through Dior boutiques. The scooter behaves less like a vehicle accessory and more like a moving object from the house's ready-to-wear world.

The Ride

Underneath the Dior finish is the same 125cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine that gives the 946 platform its refined, low-vibration character.
