The Zooz Urban Ultralight is a Portland-built electric bike that sits between a bicycle and a full electric motorcycle, engineered by three industry veterans who wanted a light, honest, ride-first machine.
The Concept
Zooz Bikes was founded by three industry insiders who each brought years of frame design, drivetrain and electric mobility work to the same table. The Urban Ultralight is their answer to the overweight e-bike category: a stripped, road-legal electric bike with the geometry of a BMX and the punch of a small motorcycle.
The Ride
The UU750 and the higher-spec UU1100 both deliver instant torque from standstill, with a low center of gravity that keeps the bike planted through tight urban carving. Rider-selectable modes shift the character from a city commuter to a full sport bike, while the compact chassis stays under 30 kilograms so it can be carried up a flight of stairs at the end of the ride. Removable batteries and a maintenance-friendly layout make it a serious daily driver, not a lifestyle accessory.
