A HOME AT SEA: EXPLORING THE BAGLIETTO DOM 133 SUPERYACHT

The Baglietto DOM 133 superyacht, named "Attitude," is a 40.6-metre aluminium motor yacht that takes its line name from the Latin word "domus," meaning home. Conceived with exterior design by Stefano Vafiadis and interiors by Mexican architect Ezequiel Farca, the DOM 133 is designed to function as a genuine residence at sea: spacious, warm, and architecturally coherent from exterior profile to cabin detail.

Exterior Design: Automotive Meets Naval Architecture

The DOM 133's exterior is defined by its near-plumb bow, taller superstructure, and clean black-and-white palette with angular lines. Stefano Vafiadis drew the profile with explicit references to automotive and architectural design, departing from the flowing curves that characterise much of the Mediterranean superyacht market. The result is a boat with a strong, distinct personality. The lightweight aluminium construction registers 411 gross tonnes and provides a moulded beam of 8.70 metres with a draft at half load of 1.98 metres.

Interior: Domus Philosophy in Every Detail

Ezequiel Farca's interior design centres on neutral tones and natural materials, principally oak and leather, to produce spaces that feel more like a well-appointed private residence than a charter vessel. The main deck accommodates an expansive owner's suite, three double guest cabins, and one twin cabin. All cabins are finished with high-quality joinery and Italian furniture from leading brands. Communal salons are arranged to encourage both relaxation and entertainment, with the connectivity to the sea maintained through large windows and an indoor-outdoor flow at every deck level.

Outdoor Living: Beach Club, Infinity Pool, and Sundeck

Attitude's most talked-about feature is its double-tiered beach club and liftable infinity pool at the stern. The aft deck is engineered to convert between a swimming platform, a dance floor, and a lounge space depending on the occasion. The sundeck carries a spa pool, sunbeds, and a family-sized dining table for alfresco meals. This flexibility is central to the DOM concept: the same space works differently at anchor in a bay or under way at sea.

Performance and Hybrid Propulsion

Power comes from two CAT C32 ACERT engines producing 2 x 1,193 kW at 2,300 rpm, delivering a maximum speed of 17.5 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots. Baglietto has developed a hybrid variant of the DOM 133 line featuring an endothermic diesel engine alongside an ultra-compact hybrid unit, high-density battery packs capable of nine hours at anchor on zero emissions, and bio-fuel compatibility that reduces CO2 output by up to 90% during hybrid operation. For full technical context, see the coverage at Boat International and the official press release at Baglietto.
