ABT SPORTSLINE TEAMS UP WITH MARIAN TO CREATE THE M800-R
ABT Sportsline Marian M800-R is one of the most compelling crossovers between high-performance automotive tuning and electric maritime engineering. ABT Sportsline, the Bavarian firm responsible for some of the most potent Audi and Volkswagen conversions in motorsport, has joined forces with Austrian electric yacht specialist Marian to produce the M 800-R, a luxury electric sports boat limited to just 20 units and priced at 450,000 euros. The result is a machine that combines a 450 kW peak power output with an 85 km/h top speed and an 80-kilometre range in Cruise Mode, figures that place it comfortably at the forefront of the emerging electric marine segment.
Performance Specifications: Three Modes, One Purpose
The M 800-R is built around a Next-Gen-E motor rated at 250 kW continuous and 450 kW at peak, fed by a 121.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack with an integrated fire suppression system. Three drive modes define the on-water experience:
- ABT Mode: Full 450 kW mobilized by activating all water pumps and optimizing cooling, used for high-speed runs.
- Cruise Mode: Up to 250 kW for long-range efficient travel, delivering the 80 km range figure.
- Port Mode: Power capped at 15 kW for safe manoeuvring in harbours and marinas.
Fast charging via CCS at up to 150 kW brings the battery back from low state of charge in under one hour. A 22 kW AC option via Juice Booster covers overnight marina charging.

Design: Automotive DNA on the Water
The M 800-R is built on Marian's M 800 Spyder hull, a semi-glider platform already optimized for electric propulsion. ABT's influence is visible in the air intake design, which references the firm's automotive special models, and in interior details that carry the brand's characteristic red leather upholstery. Seating for up to nine passengers is arranged across a foredeck lounge and cockpit, trimmed with Alcantara, and supported by an illuminated multifunction steering wheel, GPS chart plotter, and ambient plus underwater lighting. The aesthetic is unmistakably sport-yacht, but the details are thoroughly automotive.

Monaco Debut and Exclusive Availability
ABT Sportsline chose the Monaco Formula E race as the backdrop for the M 800-R's world debut, an event that aligns perfectly with the boat's electric credentials and its clientele's tastes. Production is capped at 20 units, manufactured at Marian's shipyard in Austria. The 450,000 euro price tag places it firmly in the territory of serious collector boats rather than entry-level electric leisure craft.
