Anyone interested in the automotive scene recognizes Apollo Automobil for its Gumpert supercars; the ultimate street-legal beasts with race-like capabilities. However, Apollo seems to be following a new path with their newest Intensa Emozione supercar.
The new Apollo IE marks the beginning of its venture into the supercar market. It features a new visual identity characterized by sharp lines and a bold design. Both rear and front are designed to look as aggressive as possible with sharp lines running through the whole car's body. Every body piece of the IE is built out of carbon fiber and so is the chassis. This results in a weight of only 2,755 pounds.
A revamped N/A 6.3-liter V12 engine makes 780 horsepower and 561 lb-ft of torque. To understand better why Apollo decided to ditch the turbocharger, they clarified: "The decision to refrain from using any emotionally dilutive technological systems, such as hybridization, was made to deliver a modern, yet nostalgically, pure, unadulterated sensory experience." All of the power is transfered to the wheels by a 6-speed sequential automatic gearbox with paddle shifters by Hewland. The gearbox also allows you to interchange gear rations.
The Intensa Emozione will be a very exclusive car with only 10 units planned for production. Each of these will be customized and tailored to all of the client's request; which means we'll most likely see 10 very unique renditions of this crazy machine. The incredible exclusivity comes at a premium of $2.7 million.
