Luxury automotive brand Aston Martin presents the Volante Vision Concept, its first aircraft with vertical take-off and landing capabilities. Created in partnership with Rolls-Royce, Cranfield University, and Cranfield Aerospace Solutions, the concept brings personal transportation with exquisite details to the sky.
Aston Martin's Volante Vision Concept has room for three adults, and previews a flying autonomous hybrid-electric vehicle for urban and inter-city air travel, providing fast, efficient and congestion free travel. The aircraft will take advantage of advances in aerospace, electrification and autonomous technologies, coupled with the British-automaker’s signature fluid design.
Working closely with Rolls-Royce, Cranfield University, and Cranfield Aerospace Solutions, this futuristic concept unites some of the world’s best aerospace experts, propulsion specialists and designers. The skills offered by each partner ensures that the Volante Vision will offer an innovative alternative transportation solution for people across the globe.
