AUDI UNVEILS REVOLUTIONARY Q6 E-TRON OFFROAD CONCEPT WITH UNMATCHED CAPABILITIES

Audi has unveiled its groundbreaking Q6 e-tron offroad concept, a striking prototype that showcases the brand’s push into the future of electric adventure vehicles. Revealed at the Kitzbühel World Cup weekend, the Q6 e-tron concept is designed to dominate challenging terrain while delivering the premium sophistication expected from Audi. Featuring dual electric motors with a combined output of 380 kW and an innovative portal axle design, the vehicle can climb gradients as steep as 100 percent. This advanced engineering unleashes unprecedented torque performance—up to 13,400 Nm at the wheels—establishing the Q6 e-tron as an off-road pioneer.

The Q6 e-tron offroad concept is built on Audi’s new Premium Platform Electric (PPE), marking a technological leap in electric vehicle design. The vehicle’s wider track and increased ride height, elevated by 160 mm (6.3 inches), give it a commanding presence suited for rugged adventures. This capability is enhanced by four state-of-the-art portal axles integrated into the wheel hub assemblies, boosting torque by 50 percent while maintaining peak stability. While the top speed is modest at 175 km/h (108 mph), it has been purposefully designed for challenging terrains, with the ability to scale extreme 45-degree gradients. According to Audi CEO Gernot Döllner, the Q6 e-tron represents a “highly emotive reinterpretation of quattro innovation” and signals bold potential for future electric off-road vehicles.
