FERRARI 499P MODIFICATA: HOMAGE TO FERRARI'S LE MANS LEGACY
The Ferrari 499P Modificata is Ferrari's most powerful non-competitive closed-wheel track car, developed directly from the 499P Le Mans prototype that won the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans. It is offered exclusively through the Sport Prototipi Clienti programme, which provides a full season of technical support, engineering staff, and track events at circuits worldwide. At 5.1 million euros before taxes, the 499P Modificata is one of the most expensive and exclusive track experiences Ferrari has ever offered to private clients.
From Le Mans Winner to Client Programme
The 499P won the centenary edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans on Ferrari's return to the top class of endurance racing. The 499P Modificata was unveiled at the 2023 Ferrari Finali Mondiali as a direct celebration of that victory. The "Modificata" designation reflects the modifications made to the competition car to create a version more suitable for non-competitive track use: the Modificata's hybrid powertrain produces a combined 640 kW, more than the competition car, and adds a Push-to-Pass function that unleashes an additional 120 kW for a limited period during a lap. All performance restrictions that apply under WEC regulations have been removed.
Pirelli Tyres and Engineering Partnership
The 499P Modificata runs on bespoke Pirelli tyres developed specifically for the car using Formula 1 tyre technology as a foundation. The tread compound and carcass structure are engineered to warm up quickly and deliver consistent grip across the peak operating window, providing reliable feedback to the driver during non-competitive sessions. The tyres feature a dedicated structure distinct from both the 499P competition specification and road-going Pirelli options, optimised for a car that prioritises driver enjoyment over championship lap times.
The Sport Prototipi Clienti Programme
Every 499P Modificata purchase includes two full years of the Sport Prototipi Clienti programme. Ferrari provides a dedicated engineering team, full technical and logistical support, and event entry at a calendar of circuits including Mugello, Sonoma, Laguna Seca, Balaton Park in Hungary, Suzuka, Paul Ricard, and the Nurburgring. The first Sport Prototipi Clienti event took place at Mugello in March 2024. Unlike Ferrari's F1 Clienti programme for retired Formula 1 cars, the Modificata programme operates on current-specification machinery in a non-competitive environment, meaning owners drive the full-capability car without the pressure of racing.
