In the last two years, every major city has seen a surge of electric scooters around. Thanks to easy on-the-go app rentals of scooters, not a single street corner is dry of one of these scooters.
We are going to talk about an alternative solution that strays far away from rentals and into private transportation; in a very small package. While it is technically a tiny electric scooter, the HiMo H1 is a foldable little guy that is able to move you around for 30 km. It folds down to the size of a backpack and yes, you can backpack it around if that is what you want to do. It weighs only 14.5 kg which is not featherweight but still remains manageable. The H1 uses a 180W DC motor in the rear and it can hit speeds up to 18 km/h. Despite its minuscule frame, HiMo says it can support riders up to 91kg. Features include an integrated headlight and a LED display.
HiMo just successfully surpassed their funding goal of $10,000 raising more than $50,000 in the process; making us expect deliveries in May.
