LAMBORGHINI TEMERARIO SETS A NEW ERA OF SUPER SPORTS CARS

The Lamborghini Temerario is the direct successor to the Huracan: a mid-engine plug-in hybrid super sports car built around an all-new 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 that revs to 10,000 rpm, paired with three electric motors for a combined output of 920 PS and a 0 to 100 km/h time of 2.7 seconds. Developed entirely in-house at Sant'Agata Bolognese, the Temerario marks the first time Lamborghini has used a forced-induction engine in a production road car and the first application of a hybrid powertrain in its entry super sports car line.

Powertrain: 920 PS from a New V8 Architecture

The flat-plane Hot-V 4.0-litre V8 alone produces 800 PS at up to 9,750 rpm and 730 Nm of torque between 4,000 and 7,000 rpm. The electric motor positioned between the engine and the 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox adds 150 PS and 300 Nm, while two further electric motors on the front axle provide torque vectoring and all-wheel drive. Total system output is 920 PS (677 kW), sent to all four wheels with a top speed exceeding 340 km/h. A 3.8 kWh lithium-ion battery sits centrally between the occupants, a layout that contributes to the Temerario's low centre of gravity and balanced weight distribution.

As Lamborghini's official Temerario page describes, the powertrain architecture produces the temperament of a naturally aspirated high-revving engine while layering electrification on top, a balance that answers the criticism that turbocharged motors lack character at low revs. The result: 920 PS that feel alive across the entire rev range, not just at maximum boost.

Design: Feel Like a Pilot

The Temerario's exterior applies Lamborghini's hexagonal design language in a sharper, more aerodynamically integrated form than the Huracan. The shark nose, hexagonal headlight signature, deep side intakes and angular tail all serve functional aerodynamic purposes rather than decoration. Extreme aerodynamic addenda remain available through the Lamborghini Ad Personam customisation programme, which offers more than 400 body colours and a wide range of bespoke interior options.

The cabin follows a pilot-focused philosophy: a centrally positioned cockpit surrounded by a Human-Machine Interface that integrates telemetry, connectivity and the car's dynamic driving modes. City-focused Citta, standard Strada, dynamic Sport and track-calibrated Corsa modes adjust the hybrid system, suspension and all-wheel-drive torque distribution to suit the driving context.
