Nestled between K/R and Nicolas Buffe’s respective facades, Spanish firm Clavel Arquitectos’s 'Urban Jam' elevates 45 gravity-defying classic car bodies in metallic gold and silver. The automotive styles of yesteryears are given a rebirth as sculptures, trapped in a surrealistic vertical traffic jam. It is influenced by the regeneration of urban life in the Miami Design District; where discarded spaces and old structures have been repurposed by urban and architectural design. The facade uses the same method of recycling and creates a dramatic entrance that is bound to capture the imaginations of people who appreciate avant-garde design, sculpture and automotive curiosities.
